Dramatic moment fairground goers rush to free revellers stuck on collapsed ride in Birmingham
SHOCKING footage shared with The Sun shows the moment fairground goers scrambled to free a woman stuck on a collapsed ride in Birmingham. Cops and emergency services rushed to the scene and sealed off an area around the 180ft Star Flyer ride in Centenary Square - as two women were hospitalised. More than half a dozen people were seen in video exclusively shared with The Sun urgently trying to free distressed young passengers after the attraction came to a screeching halt. The clip saw baffled eyewitnesses describing how the ride suddenly collapsed - saying in disbelief "it was all the way up there and it fell, the thing fell!" One bystander could be heard saying how there was "blood on someone's face". All the rides were stopped and the bright neon lights turned off as emergency services treated some 13 people injured at the scene.
