CCTV captures fiery moment stolen vehicle smashes into fuel pump at high speed
CCTV captured the dramatic moment a driver slammed into a fuel pump at a rural Western Australian gas station on Sunday, August 24. Footage shared by Western Australia Police shows a utility truck crashing into the fuel pump and erupting in a fireball. According to police, a 28-year-old man entered a farm south of the town of Kojonup and stole a Nissan Patrol at about 12:15 am. He then allegedly abandoned the vehicle a short time later at another property on Douglas Road. The man then stole a second vehicle at the property, a Toyota Hilux, and crashed into a service station on the Albany Highway. The crash sparked a small fire that was extinguished soon after. The man then “forced entry into the service station, where he stole a number of items,” police added. He is facing six charges, including burglary and stealing a motor vehicle.
