IRAN released a chilling map showing how tankers can weave through deadly sea mines dotted throughout the Strait of Hormuz. It comes after Tehran slapped a $2million (£1.5million) toll on each oil tanker passing through the vital trade route. Dubbed the ‘Tehran Tollbooth’ each ship must complete a complex and expensive process to be allowed through the strait. But even then, vessels face a hidden network of Maham 3 and Maham 7 limpet mines which have been poured into the waterway since the start of the conflict.
